Foundation Repair
As a Supportworks dealer for the San Antonio, Corpus Christi, and South Texas areas, we install exclusive warrantied foundation products to give you a solid, secure, and safe foundation.
Cracked walls, sticky doors or uneven floors are all signs of foundation problems. Baird uses state-of-the-art piering solutions to provide a permanent fix. Our products have been developed to not just meet but exceed industry standards, and ensure that your foundation problems are fixed for good.
Our Solutions
Push Piers
The Supportworks push pier system utilizes high-strength round steel tubes and a load transfer bracket to stabilize and lift sinking or settling foundations. The foundation bracket is secured against the existing footing and pier sections are driven hydraulically through the foundation bracket and into the soil below using the combined structural weight and any contributory soil load as resistance. Our steel push piers feature a patented external sleeve that strengthens the pier at the critical tension point below the bracket.
Helical Piers
Best for light structures like decks and concrete stairs, our helical pier system is effective and versatile for stabilizing and restoring foundations and masonry elements like brick, limestone, and adobe. The helical pier owes its name to the helical plates at the pier’s shaft that help pull the pier into the soil during installation and serve as an anchor as the weight of the foundation or structure is transferred to the pier.
Smart Jacks
The SmartJack® is a support system for crawl spaces with sagging beams and floors that have weakened over time due to high moisture and rot. It can also be used to support columns where an existing column or pier foundation has settled. The SmartJack® can support up to 30,000 pounds and has been tested to ensure that the system meets industry and national standards, and is a permanent fix for your business or infrastructure.
Slab Pier System
Slab piers are push piers designed specifically to stabilize and (in some cases) raise slabs that have settled. Requiring minimal excavation, slab piers are driven into the soil deep enough to connect and stabilize the slab to load-bearing soil or bedrock where slabs have settled and are completely hidden once installed. The specially designed brackets connect the top of the pier to the underside of the slab, to stabilize and/or raise the slab back to its original position.
Wall Reinforcement and Repair
Foundation walls can bow, buckle, and tilt inward as a result of foundation issues or due to outside pressure from soil and water – these issues can also cause walls to collapse. Baird is proud to offer innovative and state-of-the-art wall reinforcement and repair solutions. From reinforcing walls to repairing horizontal cracks, our products can be paired with other foundation solutions that can be applied quickly, and sometimes with minimal damage to your home and landscape.
