Project Overview

The Cedar Springs Neighborhood pool deck was experiencing settlement that had incurred over time, most likely due to water intrusion and washout. This settlement produced tripping hazards, that for the HOA, was something that reduced the quality of the experience when residents used the pool in the summer months. The client had several bids from other companies but decided to go with Baird Foundation Repair because they wanted a long-term solution to fix the tripping hazards around their neighborhood pool. If Cedar Springs Neighborhood would have chosen to replace the pool deck, the costs of repairing the issues they were experiencing would have significantly increased. In addition to the increase in cost, it would have left the pool unusable for the entire summer.

Project Solution

Baird Foundation Repair’s Commercial Solution Specialist, Will, visited the neighborhood’s homeowners association and conducted a thorough inspection of the sinking concrete around the neighborhood’s pool. In order to eliminate tripping hazards, Baird recommended Polylevel to lift and level the settled areas. To further protect the concrete, Baird recommended NexusPro Joint/Crack Sealant to prevent water intrusion in the control joints and cracks.
